Outdoor Movie! Friday, June 23 at 8:30pm

  Bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy a movie on the lawn! Due to licensing regulations we are unable to publish the titles the films being shown. Please contact the library at 243-5716 or check our newsletter for the titles of all movies being shown during summer reading.

Volunteen Saturday July 15 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

  Do you need service hours? Here is your chance to get them! The library is hosting a volunteer event on the 3rd Saturday of every month for our teenage patrons. Come for as little or as long as you like and help us get ready for the following month while you rack up some needed service hours!

Book to Movie Club Thursday, July 25 at NOON

Be a part of our new quarterly book club! Tell us everything you love and hate about that book to movie conversion! We’ll watch the movie, compare and contrast it to the book, and eat pizza. July title:  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children  by Ransom Riggs

*Sculpture Walk on Saturday, July 8 from 10 – 11:30 am

Join us downtown for the ArtsPartners Sculpture Walk!

Take a walk and hear a talk about each of the 16 sculptures displayed in 7 to 8 blocks. Tours leave at 10:00 AM so plan to arrive at the Peoria Riverfront Museum lobby about 9:45 AM. The walk takes about 1.5 hours. What a great way to breathe in some art! Families welcome!

Adult Swim Wednesdays at 6:30

  Want to attend an adult program at the library, but not quite sure what to do with the kids? Out Adult Swim series is the program for you!  Enjoy some adult only time while the kids hang out in the children’s area supervised by our Youth Services staff. Job Opening: Assistant Librarian

The Dunlap Public Library District is seeking an energetic, creative, service-driven professional to serve as our Assistant Librarian. The Assistant Librarian ensures library patrons receive excellent customer service by providing library circulation services, confidently using library resources to answer reference questions, assisting patrons with ebook check-outs and other computer needs, and developing and conducting library programs including basic computer instruction. Experience and Training: Completion of high school / GED, at least 2 years library experience and computer knowledge, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Schedule: The Assistant Librarian is a part-time, $10.00/hour position scheduled 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday-Thursday, 2:00-6:00pm Friday and one Saturday every month 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
