Job Opening: Circulation Clerk

The Dunlap Public Library District is seeking an energetic, creative, service-driven professional to serve as our Circulation Clerk. The Circulation Clerk ensures library patrons receive excellent customer service by providing library circulation services, confidently using library resources to answer reference questions, assisting patrons with ebook check-outs and other computer needs, and developing and conducting library programs including basic computer instruction. Schedule: We currently have two open positions. These two Circulation Clerks will each work two nights a week averaging twelve hours. Times may vary, but will mainly consist of working 2-8pm. They will also join the rotation of working 9-4pm every third Saturday. Pages will ensure that library patrons receive excellent customer service by assisting with collection organization and cleanliness. About the library: The Dunlap Public Library District serves a diverse rural and suburban population in the north Peoria, IL region. The library sees, on average, more than 10,000 circulation transactions, about 5,000 patron visits, and program attendance of 460 per month. Youth Services Librarian

The Dunlap Public Library District seeks an innovative and energetic professional to fill the position of Youth Services Librarian. The Youth Services Librarian plans, implements, and carries out programming for patrons ages birth – 19, assists with collection development of the Easy, J, and Young Adult sections of the library, maintain a friendly and welcoming library environment in the Easy, J, and Young Adult sections of the library, and assist the Executive Director on other matters as needed. The Youth Services Librarian is expected to assist with circulation duties as needed, including but not limited to: checking materials in and out, shelving, and shelf-reading. Additionally, the Youth Services Librarian is expected to be active in local youth services networking groups and may pursue committee activities with the Illinois Library Association.
