Outreach

Homebound

Welcome to the Dunlap Public Library’s online home for Outreach Services!

We offer two distinct Outreach Services: Homebound Delivery and Off-Site Delivery.

Homebound Delivery is for Dunlap Public Library District residents who are temporarily or permanently homebound, or who otherwise do not have access to transportation to the library, due to illness, disability, or other factor, regardless of age.

To sign up yourself, a friend, or a loved-one, simply fill out this form and return it to the library. A staff member will contact you to verify the types of materials you would like and to set-up a delivery schedule for you.

The Off-Site Delivery Services program is our way to bring the library to underserved communities within our service area who might not otherwise be able to regularly visit the library. In the case of Off-Site Delivery, the “Site” signs up for the service. Sites can be daycares, churches, preschools, assisted living centers, a homeschool group of two or more families, etc.

Sites must be located  within the Dunlap Public Library District OR serve a significant number of District residents.

Once your Site is registered, library staff will schedule visit dates and we will bring a selection of materials for patrons to choose from at your location. Patrons may check out two items at a time through this service. Patrons must use personal cards, but those cards may be from ANY Illinois library. An institution cannot check out materials through this program.

You may also arrange for library staff to provide programing such as story time, computer programs, etc.

To sign up for Off-Site Delivery, please fill out this form and return it to the library.

*Please note: The library reserves the right to limit the number of Sites or Homebound Delivery stops, to create waiting lists, and to set other limits on these services if required.
