DESCRIPTION:Collect stamps from July 15 – August 12\, 2024\nReturn your passport to the library by August 24\, 2024\nWelcome to the 1st Annual Read\, Eat\, Play Library Road Trip! (REP) We are excited for you to start your journey. We know you will have a great time exploring all the wonderful libraries\, eateries\, shops and parks participating in the 1st Annual Read\, Eat\, Play Library Road Trip! \nCome to the circulation desk and pick up your Read\, Eat\, Play Passport. To complete your Road Trip and be entered into a prize drawing\, you must collect stickers or stamps from Dunlap Library and at least 5 others. When visiting a library please be sure to take your Passport to the main circulation desk to receive your sticker or stamp. If the library you visit doesn’t have a page in this Passport\, no worries. Just have them stamp the “Bonus Stamps!” area inside the back cover for you. Then\, between August 12 and August 24\, 2024 be sure to return to Dunap Library and drop off your Passport to get entered into their prize drawing! \nRemember\, you can use your library card to check out items from any of the libraries you visit. When you are done with the items you’ve checked out\, you can return them to any library in the passport and the courier service will deliver them to the appropriate library for you. This fantastic service also lets you request a book from any library and have it sent to your home library for pick up! Just ask at any library’s circulation desk for details. \nEach participating REP Library has a page in the Passport with its address\, operating hours\, and information about local eateries\, parks and attractions. Please be sure to double-check business websites and social media for more information and verify a location’s hours when planning your trip. \nDon’t forget to pack your library card\, and Safe Travels!

DESCRIPTION:The Children’s Opera Outreach Program is presenting a series of special opera outreach performances for young audiences at locations across Central Illinois. \nThe 2024 outreach opera is a comedy performance called “My Best Friend’s a Pirate!”. This interactive production features the music of Rossini\, Mozart\, Verdi\, and many more. \nThe outreach productions are performed at libraries\, schools\, and other community locations in Central Illinois. Each lasts about 30 minutes with time for children to talk to the performer. \nThe goal of the outreach performances is to introduce children and families to the joy and magic of opera.
