Field of Sunflowers

It’s the end of the growing season…our gardens are winding down for the year. Some of our plants are producing seeds like nobody’s business.

Gather seeds from your plants and bring them for an old fashioned seed swap. Be sure to label the seeds and bring a photo to share, if possible. Envelopes will be provided so people can take some of each type of seed.

Please call the library at 309-243-5716 to reserve your seat.

The following websites may provide helpful information for gathering seeds.

The school entrance will remain accessible from IL 91 during this time.  The overall project includes IL 91 from south of Legion Hall Road to north of Hickory Street and will require traffic shifts and lane closures on IL 91 and the closure of Legion Hall Road in stages for pavement replacement and the installation of retaining walls, sidewalk, pipe culverts, and storm sewer. Access to residences and businesses along IL 91 will be maintained during construction.  Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
