Called “the mother of the civil rights movement,” Rosa Parks invigorated the struggle for racial equality when she was arrested for resisting segregation on December 1, 1955. Her life as an activist did not begin, or end on that day. Join us to learn how a quiet seamstress from Alabama became a determined, internationally respected advocate for all human rights. Sherrie Tolliver of Women in History portrays Rosa Parks.
