For kids! Runs all of March!

Each year in March, men, women, and dogs from around the world converge on the state of Alaska to take part in what has become known as the “Last Great Race” on Earth. This is the IDITAROD, a trail sled dog race.

You can take a reading journey along with the mushers and sled dog teams, following the race from Anchorage to Nome. Kids can set a reading goal and check in at each step of the race, while the Iditarod participants reach their racing goals!

Pick up a packet to participate beginning Friday, March 1.

Return your completed challenge to the library by Friday, April 5.

Everyone who completes their goal will receive a dog tag and a certificate of completion!
