The elimination of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and its impact on libraries, particularly the potential elimination of inter library loans, E-books, adult and children’s programming, and shortening of library hours, is uppermost in our minds. We held our second General Membership Meeting on April 10. Twenty-two people attended the meeting, and Friends took the following actions:
Members were also updated on how to stay informed on actions to overturn IMLS legislation and what we can do to help keep funding for our library safe.
